Mom’s Walnut Banana Bread

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Vegtable Oil (Canola oil also works)
  • 2 tablespoons Buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
  1. Preheat oven to 325. Grease a 9x5x3 loaf pan and dust with flour

  2. Blend the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.

  3. Mix the egg, sugar, and oil until combined.

  4. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and when blended, add the buttermilk, vanilla and mashed bananas; mix well.

  5. Mix some walnut into the batter and pour into pan; spread the remaining walnuts on top.

  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
